Timing of NE Vt and NH White Mountains foliage?

Anyone here have experience with foliage in both northern VT and NH?

I am trying to find out how well the peak in the NEK correlates to that in the White Mountains. I am considering a dual northern VT / White Mt trip and trying to figure out when the best time would be to do it...

Any suggestions much appreciated. --c

When I was in Lancaster, NH. for the fair I looked around and the foliage in Lancaster is not as far along as Vt. Maybe because it's in the Connecticut River Valley. The was color in the mountains farther east, however. I think the mountain area between Dixville Notch and Franconia Notch should be about the same as the NEK.

Normally I would call that a coin toss, but this year you may want to do the Sept. 27 trip. I like doing the Victory / Granby Road. It starts as the Victory Road on route114 about 2.3 miles north of East Burke and goes to route 102 in Guildhall.
