Popple Dungeon Road is open! Route 11 near Andover road is still one lane, but not for long. These crews are awesome! What they have done in weeks is beyond belief. Popple Dungeon was washed out in many places and they fixed them all. Oh yes, the leaves. Things look about 1/3 turned in Chester with the Swamp maples leading the way. Some of them are almost peak. This looks like a good year. Some leaf mold from all the water, but better this way than the other way. Would post pictures, but can't figure out how to do it. If someone could let me know, I will.

bvajen: send me a private email at adr1957@gmail.com and I will see if I can help you figure it out. If you have a hosting site (e.g., Flickr, etc., it is usually easiest to simply link to it).

If it sounds too good to be true, its probably . . . .

Yes! I am very happy that Popple Dungeon is open! bm and I are heading there after the Chester craft fair and before we go back to Waitsfield. Phil wants this to be his day off out of the 10 I am up there. I granted his wish. (Shopping doesn't seem to be high on his list, but we MIGHT have stopped at Green Mountain Sugar House for a creemee too..... oh well  )

bv: Did you figure out how to get your photos up on the forum????

Phil, I'll buy you something at the Chester Fair. I guess you deserve one day of rest. But I still think you'll miss me.
