Where is the best foliage right now?

my mother is visiting this week (9/24 - 9/30) from california and would love to show her some leaves! i see from the reports that northern vermont is already mid-color.<P>where is the best place to see color right now? what is a town/B&B located in a high-color area?<P>we'd be travelling mid-week, like Wed/Thu nites.<P>thanks!<BR>--cin

It is more than mid point now and should peak any time in the next seven days. Next weekend should be glorious!<BR>Tim<P>

Just returned from Vt. The colors are spectacular along I 81 from Mountpelier to Burlington. Color moving down to Rutland area. Patches of color along the Taconic Pkwy. in NY. Even the clody days and foggy mist could not deminish the strong colors.
