Burlington/Middlebury/Rt 30 report 10/6

On the trip back south today, we drove from Burlington down to Route 4 via routes 7 and 30. I think the color in this part of the state is promising. I'd estimate it's about 40% changed, 60% green. Which, after driving through the route 2 and Stowe areas the day before, was a sight for sore eyes. Little to no leaf drop and the color looks to be vibrant, unlike what I saw in Woodstock on 10/4. This was my first time in this part of the state and I was impressed.

By the way, anybody coming through this area should check out Shelburne Farms-- beautiful. And a great sunset spot as well, with great views across Lake Champlain to the Adirondacks.
