This was in today's Boston Globe and a great article, mainly because I can personally attest to a fantastic Vermont foliage vacation at Liberty Hill Farm in Rochester, Vermont a few years back. The story starts out with the Cabot Cheese Factory, which is a nice place to visit for a tour as well, with many gorgeous back road drives in the area.

Beth and Bob Kennett's story of their beautiful dairy farm is worth a read. I would highly recommend staying there! If you try a farm vacation while in Vermont, you will find it a very different and rewarding experience. Dinner and breakfast are included and it is truly, as the article states, like Thanksgiving at each of these meals! The spread of food is quite incredible and everything is local and farm fresh! The desserts, well, that is a story in inself!

The shot of the farm from the access road is featured in many magazines and photographs.

Here is the link for the Vermont farms. On the left side of the link, you will find a brochure to click for a free guide to the working farms.

Hope you enjoy this feature story from the Globe!
