Hi,

We are planning to visit the Jay peak area on day One and stowe/Lammoile valley on day 2. Could you tell me the routes that would offer the best foliage view . Would these places have good foliage view around Oct 5-7 ? Are there any other good places to visit?
I have heard that the tram ride is really good in the jay peak area and the lake champlain train ride too. Are they worth the visit ?

thanks
Ruchika

It depends on where you are staying. There are 2 major routes to Jay Peak. You can take route 108 from Jeffersonville to route 109 also in Jeffersonville. Take route 109 to the end and turn left on route 118. Take route 118 north to Montgomery and take route 242 to Jay Peak. Colors are coming along nicely on these routes. The other way is to take route 100 north to Troy and pick up route 101 north. Take that until you come to route 242 west and take that to Jay Peak. Colors are also coming along nicely on that route. You could make a "loop" from both routes because routes 100 and 108 meet in Stowe.
