Fall Foliage Late October

My family and I are planning to arrive in Stowe, VT Oct 18-22. After looking at othet posts on here, are we going to miss fall foliage all together?

You will miss peak foliage at that time. But you will still have some good color in southwestern Vermont. I took a trip down route 100 yesterday and the foliage is running a little late there. It should be in mid - stage, but I only saw early stage colors there. We haven't had the frost this year that we normally have. The first week of October is always the best time. If the foliage is late, the northeast part of vermont will be peak. If the foliage is on time or early, the Stowe area and a little south will be peak.
