NEK Columbus Day Weekend

Hello Everyone,
We are finally returning for a NH/VT visit this fall. Haven't been there since 2006 and I am really excited about the reports I am hearing so far.
I have planned out our routes but am wondering about the following areas for October 9:
Lyndonville, Stannard Mt. Rd, Greensboro, Barton, Glover, Hinton Hill Rd, Lake Willoughby, Darling Hill Rd, and the Victory/Granby Rd. I have read all about these roads and some of the country stores. That was a great thread!
We can't possibly change our dates so this is the very earliest we can be in that area. What do you think as far as good foliage for these areas?
Thanks so much for any and all advice!

BM,
I have the Delorme Atlas. Is Ridge Rd off of 5A just north of West Burke? I have Bailey's and Burke on my list so we will be in that area for sure.

Abby,
WOW! I love your pictures. I have read your posts about Curriers and the Red Sky Trading Post and have both of those on my list. So hopefully I can find those roads. In my atlas, there are two roads going to the right in Glover. One of them is Still Hill Rd and the other is Bean Hill Rd. Is it one of those? I will look forward to hearing your report after this weekend.

Thanks again to both of you and everyone on this fantastic forum!

The road past Currier's store is the Bean Hill Road. For the Ridge Road A.K.A. Maple Ridge Road, I would take the Darling Hill Road off route 114 in Lyndonville. Take route 114 off from route US 5 in Lyndonville. In about 1/2 of a mile you will cross a railraod track and then drive over a bridge. Right after the bridge is the darling Hill Road on the left side. Drive the Darling Hill Road up to the Mountain View Creamery Inn and look for the Burke Green Road on the right side and take that road. Drive this road straight to Newark Town where it changes it's name to Maple Ridge Road. When you meet the Brook Road bear right and drive to Newark Hollow and look for the Center Pond Road on the right side. Drive this road to the end at the Abbott Hill Road and turn right to get back to route 114.

BM is right. her Ridge Road is the one that comes off the Red Village road in East Lyndon. Either road is a great drive.
