Montreal to Vermont.. last minute

Hey guys, thanks for a great site -

My wife and I have never been to vermont before, and were planning to visit your wonderful place on earth this tuesday. Do you think we would make it in time for some nice foliage? or did we miss out?

If we didnt miss out on the fun, we would be coming from the Canadian border via Quebec. Any suggestions for a really nice day trip? We dont mind long drives, and would love to photograph.

Some of the things I've heard are Montgomery, Sleepy hollow?, taftsville.
If anyone does have afew minutes to spare, We would love to hear any suggestions. I've never been out there before and would love to make it this year.
