The good news is that your best bets will be closer to home at the southern end of the stateanywhere in the box cornered by bennington, Rutland, Woodstock, and Brattleboro. the futrther north you go the sparcser things will be by then.
Bennington is nice as are Grafton, Newfane, Chester. In fact rt3 35 is one of the nicer drives along with 106 between Amsden and Proctorsville. 100 from Rte 9 to US 4 is also a nice drive. Weston is Gorgeous.

------------------
Aleks & Michiko Hunter
Old Town Farm Inn
665 Vt. I agree with the above advice. I just returned from Vermont and it was still pretty green in the very south. It should be nice in the south when you are going. Woodstock and Queechee are always nice places to visit. Manchester is great for shopping and if you like tours the tour of Hildene (Robert Todd Lincoln's home) is nice. Have fun.
