Oct 4-6 Weekend Report

Postby csvdes » Mon Oct 07, 2002 11:03 pm

Went to Vermont during the weekend for leaf peeping.
Traveled on Route 100 all the way from near Brattleboro to the Newport/Derby area near the Canadian Border.
The colors were very pretty near Mount Snow and along the Stowe / Smugglers Notch area and north of that. Should peak by the coming weekend in all other areas
All other areas were average.
Took a small detour to visit Burlington.
The Northeast Kingdom had peaked. The drive
from NewPort to St Johnsbury along I-91 is
spectacular.
I then drove into New Hampshire. The
White Mountains of New Hampshire were soaked with color . It was beautiful .
Route 302 is awesome along Crawford Notch.

Also the Kanmacgus Highway was showing brilliant colors.
