I am planning to take a trip to Vermont in May. I'd like some suggestions on sites to see and which cities would be best to visit.

Well, Marie, we don't have that many cities. Burlington is our biggest at about 40,000. Good place to visit. Nice shopping area and a nice waterfront park on Lake Champlain. Montpelier and our capitol building on week days. It's free and open to the public. Brattleboro is an artsy kind of city. Nice galleries and crafts. Newport does have a nice waterfront and some shops. It also is in the northeast kingdom with all it's forests and quiet rides. Bennington and Manchester are nice and historic. Use route 7A. May is a bit off season so some of our attractions may not be open, but most are open.
