Second week in October is the only time my boyfriend and I can get to Stowe next year. We need recommendations where to stay and want to know if it will be "peak" when we visit. We do not want to spend the money to see fallen leaves. Anybody have anything to say about Stowe?

You should be fine for the second week in October. The best foliage will be seen above and around Stowe. That's where you will get the best photos. One of our favourite inns is Ye Old English Inne on the Mountain Road.
------------------
Timothy Palmer-Benson [Mail:tim@pbpub.com]
** Web Publishing for Vermont **
*** http://www.scenesofvermont.com ***
**** Tel:802-895-4295, Fax:802-895-4635****
*****Box 219, Morgan VT 05853*****
___________________________________

Thanks so much for your input. You selected the Inn where we were leaning towards staying. I guess great minds think alike, huh? We've been to Stowe before in the summertime, but it was only a daytrip. Glad to know we will see color. I needed some input to make sure we would see some colorful leaves because the "foliage prices" are a little more than what I am used to paying for accomodations. We've now have reservations and can't wait to come up there.
HGB
