We just returned from Corinth, VT (between Montpelier and Braford, (Route 91, Exit 16). The colors were spectacular, brilliant reds and golds. They are starting to come down now and after this weekend some rain and wind will bring lots down. We found it to be a wonderful time because there was a pretty coating of freshly fallen leaves on the ground and yet, still lots on the trees.

Thanks for your report...I am sure others will appreciate it. If you are arriving late for the peak in a particular region, get off the main roads and onto the unpaved ones. Where the canopy is lush you might well still find spectacular color.

------------------
Timothy Palmer-Benson [Mail:tim@pbpub.com]
** Web Publishing for Vermont **
*** http://www.scenesofvermont.com ***
**** Tel:802-895-4295, Fax:802-895-4635****
*****Box 219, Morgan VT 05853*****
___________________________________
