The Wheeler Mtn Rd is good from Route 5 up to the Wheeler Mtn hiking access parking area. This includes being able to access Wheeler Pond. After the hiking access the road gets a lot rougher. If the NEK is still in peak (and even if it past a bit), this loop through the middle of the NEK should hit a lot of the high points.
