A few 2012 trip shots (WARNING: TONS of images, largeish)

Somewhere up north (a few of these may be in wide gamut format and might look weird and dull if you do not use a color-managed web browser, Firefox is good, Safari too most likely, Chrome probably not again, tablets/phones probably not) all Oct 2-3: http://sunsetbayphotography4.zenfolio.com/img/s10/...

Re: How's foliage on Smuggler's notch?

Hi everyone, I have learned a lot from the forum and enjoyed the nice foliage pictures. I am trying to book a trip to Smuggler's notch resort for the Columbus day weekend but afraid it is way past peak. I browsed the forum and did not see any particular reports about that area. Anybody has been the...

Re: Woodstock vermont

Wow, looks like APp gapp was amazing on the 3rd. FOr some reason I had the impression the Northern Green Mtns had already been past peak or badly turned, but it seems the very northern part and Waitsfeld out to rt 89 were well turned, rich and wild color the 3rd and 4th!, I only got to see a bit of ...

Re: Wretched Rain Event Sat - low wind - how will leaves far

I'm sorry to report that at least here in Bennington, the wind basically howled all night. If this happened anywhere with peak foliage, much of it is now likely on the ground. It seems to have done little to no damage though, as I was in Bennington the 5th and so no leaf drop at all, in the town ce...

Re: reports from recent trip

Fall in the Northeast in general: A VERY early year for the most part. Even parts of NJ are already max peak! On the 6th?!!! My yard area is at least a week early, the town in the valley below is at least half a week early, lots of drying though, sadly might be an unprecedented yet another modest tu...

Re: reports from recent trip

Oct 5: Bennington near the college area was actually looking a bit away from peak and maybe a little dry, but I think some of it will still make it to a nice peak. A couple trees were peak though. The entrance to 7 north from Bennington, that long entry ramp had utterly on fire beyond belief max pea...

Re: reports from recent trip

Oct 4 (thankfully the rain didn't become bad today until around nearly 4:30PM, the overcast and rain maybe even helped some colors, although after 4:30 the overcast just became super intense and the rain very hard at times unfortunately but hey at least it stayed away for a while): 91 south to Bradf...

Re: reports from recent trip

Oct 3: 91 south to exit 18 from St. Johnsbury, the same mix of past peak and dried out and not turned yet, but man the area is just so scenic, who cares! Along West Barnett Rd and Peacham Rd a mix of past peak, shrivled and not yet peak and never gonna be peak, and not yet peak but probably will be ...

reports from recent trip

By the time I registered this info has become a bit late in many cases to help perhaps but here it goes (Oct 2,3,4,5): First part, October 2nd: St. Johnsbury looked to be an odd mixed of partially turned and shriveled and well past peak already (early). Taking 91 up to Barton was the same story. Not...
