We took Route 63 to Mohawk Mountain and it's still nice, if a bit past peak. Mohawk Mohawk State Park is still pretty, but I didn't take any pictures.

I decided to go back to Northwestern Connecticut today, it's still at peak after the rain yesterday.

I'm still going to Meshomastic Forest tommorow. Over 2" of rain here today, hopefully the foliage survived the rain in that part of Connecticut.

The Canann shot is from Route 44 and was difficult to get with all the high speed traffic. I was going to take Riga Road from Salisbury, but I didn't have the patience to deal with that and with the drought, the road is probably very dusty. That area was busy today with lots of tourists. I'm going to Meshomastic Forest on Wednesday and the Glastonbury area. I go every Fall. Hopefully the foliage is still okay.

A big shout out to ctyanky for suggesting foliage viewing in Northwestern Connecticut. Compared to Northeastern Connecticut yesterday, it's like an ugly finger painting vs a Picasso. Just beautiful colors nearly everywhere. Definitely at peak. I drove on Routes I-91, 20, 179, 318, 44, 41, 7A, 7, 4, ...

Has anyone been through MA? Just wondering how it's looking there. I've been wanting to go to Rock House Reservation for a while, but want to go when the color is good. I did the drive through Northeastern Connecticut today. Not very pretty, lots of bare trees and poor foliage conditions. There are some bright spots in town, but it's very scattered. Even Coventry wasn't any good.

There's some nice Fall foliage color on I-90 at the high point and for a few miles on either side. It must be nice along Route 20. The lower elevations are still mostly green. I-90 also has alot of Oak trees that are still green.

I realize this might not be the best place to post this and I hope I'm not upsetting anyone, but the foliage in the Catskills today is stunning. If you have the chance to get there in the next few days, it's worth the drive. Just wall to wall color.
