Re: Killington, Woodstock, Route 4 to White River Junction

mmt love all three pictures of Cooper and especially the ones with the beautiful colorful foliage in the background! Would be neat if you could put together a collage of Cooper with backgrounds of all four seasons. Would be great for sentimental family gifts and down the years means so much. We have...

Re: Belted Cows

With stories filtering into the Foliage Forum that the colors in the Northeast Kingdom are approaching peak, many leaf peepers will be heading to the Northeast Kingdom this weekend and within the next few days. Some familiar with the Northeast Kingdom have suggested driving Darling Hill Road in Lynd...

Re: North East Vermont - Scenic View Suggestions.

Drove to Lewis Pond in 2007. The drive was an 18 mile one way dirt road. This was a white knuckle 36 miles round trip drive through a dense forest. Definitely do not recommend driving to Lewis Pond in a sedan. Meeting another car coming from opposite direction on this road, it is a "head on" encount...

Re: Jam Packed Fall Weekend Itinerary - Help For Rt and Hike

Hi TJBarney Since you shared you enjoyed short hikes, recommended the Stowe Moss Glen Falls hike. It's a nice walk along a babbling stream where we once sat on rocks to enjoy our bag lunch then a brief climb over rocks to Moss Glen Falls. I think the beauty of this area is how you get there and how ...

Re: Jam Packed Fall Weekend Itinerary - Help For Rt and Hike

Hi TJBarney, you have a great jam packed itinerary planned! With so much to see and do tucked into two days and your tight time restraints, I would skip Moss Glen Falls in Stowe since you will have a hike to the Falls that involves some climbing on rocks. Instead, visit the rest of the areas you hav...

Stowe Recreation Path/map

One of Stowe's hidden pleasures is the Stowe Recreation Path. This is an award winning 5.5 mile Recreation Path . The Stowe Recreation Path begins in Stowe nearby the white steeple church then parallels Mountain Road/Route 108 and ends at Brook Road off of Mountain Road/Route 108. A brief walk from ...

Re: GREAT VERMONT DRIVING ROUTES/Rte 108/Brook Rd Covered Br

So nice to see the Scenes of Vermont Fall Foliage Forum active with folks making plans for another Autumn of exploring and enjoying, beautiful Vermont! This is in reference to Sharan's inquiry where the Covered Bridge is located off of Route 108 in Stowe. It is not Emily's Covered Bridge. Emily's Co...

Like many say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, likewise that goes for how one defines the term "God's country" Traveling across America, I would say, ...
