Thursday was cloudy and rainy with muted colors so decided to look for the best early foliage color on Standard Mountain. If you really want to see good color in the NEK early in the season, then Standard Mountain between Hardwick and Lyndonville is the place to go.

What with the drought and violent weather, one wonders what the colors will be like this season. So far things look like they are progressing as normal with several trees in the northeast kingdom showing color as the normally do at this time. So keep our fingers crossed!
