Re: Of all things, now there is a tropical storm to deal with.
I hope that is correct, but the NHC doesn't agree with that statement, and people should not let their guard down yet. After 36 hours, the guidance remains very divergent. The Canadian, GFDL, HWRF, and navgem models forecast Joaquin to turn northwestward and make landfall over the Carolinas and mid-...

It is not clear yet where it is going. Everyone should be watching the reports. It's still very far away and it's not moving much yet.

Re: Killington Report - September 28
Thanks for the report! Pretty shots and better color than I expected.
Down here in the SW corner we have some light color on the mountains but mostly it's all Kermit the Frog.

Re: Heat coming back
Some good news today as we get a small cold shot this weekend and a possibly bigger one next weekend. They are calling for temps around 40 or even below here tomorrow night, not really cold but not bad after all these 80s. Next weekend there's a decent chance of a brief cold incursion that could hav...

This is not good news. Definitely appears it may be a "make lemonade" type of year.

Re: Heat coming back
Sadly I see no cold are intrusions in the next two weeks on the long-range map I look at. We are just in a warm pattern. I think it is actually the northern areas that will fare worst with this, as they will be warm during their traditional peak periods. If we can finally get some cold by late Sept ...

Re: Weather is turning the corner: Heat wave over, rain comes and cool temps arriving in New England!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but I just examined the long-range GFS model and it shows no real cold air intrusions through the end of the month. I think it is going to be a somewhat wonky foliage year. Still, keep up hope. Things can change, and when the cold does arrive it may kickstart th...

Thanks all. I appreciate your kindness. Natasha (who runs CRG) is so nice to have done this for me.
I am going to prepare several more to put up on the wall, all fall scenes for now. Maybe I will get lucky and sell one or two, but just having them where they can be enjoyed is the most important part.

Hey all.
So.. another long-procrastinated item checked off.. I have some of my prints on a wall in a public place.
If you are ever in Bennington, check them out at Crazy Russian Girls bakery (which is worth a stop in its own right!)
