Re: NORTHERN VERMONT AND NORTH EAST VERMONT FOR FOLIAGE
We have stayed twice at the Newport City Motel, not fancey, but clean and comfortable, I remember the beds had nice down comforters. We also had several meals at the Eastside Restaurant and Pub which was very good, and a fun little gift shop and bakery.

WOW! They are all beautiful, and they certainly have me yearning to return. I really like the peaceful cemetary scene with the leaves back lit with the sunlight, it has such a pinky soft glow about it. Strangley inviting! Ah, I will be missing it so this year!

Re: What going on at the forum?
I too like the clean new look of the forum. Thank you so much, Carol, for reposting those beautiful pictures, they were just what I needed and hoped for. The new ones of the lupines are incredible. Thanks again for sharing your talent with all of us, and giving us a dose of beautiful Vermont. The th...

Nancy: We fly from SLC, Ut and have found that flying into Boston is usually more expensive. Have you tried some of the smaller airports, like Manchester, N.H (would be closer for your Whiteriver stay), sometimes even Albany N.Y., and even Burlington Vt. airports have better fares, and car rentals c...

I have fond memories of the Super 8 in Whiteriver. Our very first trip in 97' we flew into New York and drove up to Vermont in the dark, spending our very first night in Vermont at the Super 8. It is a good place to start, but being right on the border of Vermont and N.H., I would think you would ge...

Ah, alas, this too will be only the second time since 97' that we will not be coming to Vermont this year, also do to a beloved daughter! We will be heading east though, to the Maryland,West Virginia, and Pennslyvania areas. She's wanting us to see the areas and meet the people she knew while living...

Vermont Web Cams
Just wondering if anyone out there has a favorite Vermont Web cam site, I love looking at real time views of my favorite place. Hope everyone is okay, the Connecticut Floods and Vermont snow made the local news last night, I was very grateful I only had to shovel a foot of new snow this morning!

Oh, how I do wish I was close enough to go! This is definitely one of those things on my to do list someday. I was just looking at my gallon jug of syrup on Sunday, as we had pancakes for breakfast, getting down to the bottom of it, thinking it is just about time to be ordering some new syrup! Yum! ...

It has indeed been a long cold winter for most of us this year. But the weather man has just promised us a "tease" of spring for Valentines Day. With a high sitting over us we are suppose to hit 50 for the holiday. I might even see the grass! It almost makes me giddy. But I am well aware that winter...
