Re: Recommendations for early Oct

Hi, This would be my first visit to VT. I would be in Londonderry during 5th -7th October. I have a 5 yr old kid. Please suggest the best scenic drives and light hikes. I hope the quote helps to reduce any confusion. I actually have a few moments to respond and I didn't want to risk not being able ...

Re: Full Harvest Moon 2016

I will be enjoying the moon from about the closest to a polar opposite as I can imagine. I will be viewing its rise from atop Rockefeller Center as I shoot photos of the Manhattan skyline.

Re: Milky Way Photos- thanks Al!!

Quick follow-up, does anyone know what color (on darksitefinder.com) would be considered the minimum color for good shots? I am stunned that little of Vermont gets below light green which is the middle of the spectrum on that site. Looks like Kettle Pond is in a darker area as is the Great Cliffs. O...

Thank you!

Outdoor Photography had an article on shooting the Milky Way so, between your notes and that article, I am ready to give it a shot (or 2 or 12).

Absolutely agree. Your list is too good, I cannot come up with any additions!

Well except for the release of the Magic Hat Autumn Seasonal Sampler Pack!

Love the summer shots but, it looks like you also have some nice sites for the fall too.

Wow!

Any chance Al could give us a brief version of the techniques you learned?

Great job!

Re: VT is Calling You for Foliage Season 2016 - Who is on board!?

CT, I know! I doubt I will be able to escape earlier as the product is expected to launch on or about the 5th. We are planning a family vacation for the first week of October next year so, I hope that I can meet up with everyone for a few hours one morning. For this year, I am (as usual) wandering S...

Re: IR photography

Al,

I had heard mixed reviews on turning "regular" images to IR in post.

I would be thrilled to skip what appears to be a difficult mode of shooting so, I will watch that video with much interest.

Thank you!

Re: Can we get some Vermont photography going again?

Tim and Alex, Thank you for the wonderful photos. You (and others) serve such a wonderful service by reinvigorating me (and others) with your images. Work and family have keep my camera on the shelf for (really) the last year or so. Nothing I do will get into your league but, your images still make ...

Re: MAPS, GUIDES AND BOOKS FOR VERMONT

If I may offer an anti-recommendation, I recently purchased "Scenic Driving Vermont: Exploring the State's Most Spectacular Byways and Back Roads". It was not worth the $8 I spent. It only features five drive and there are precious details on each. For example, one of the drives starts with an unpav...

Re: VT is Calling You for Foliage Season 2016 - Who is on board!?

Unfortunately, my work schedule is preventing me from being there at the same time as the rest of you. As of now, my most likely arrival will be the 10th. I was prepared to delegate some things and be there for the first week of October but, we are launching a new product and I need to be here. Look...
