Peacham, Oct. 9, 2010

We rushed up the Interstate, wanting to make it to Peacham before the sun went down. Barely made it and got the shot I wanted. Not that it hasn't been shot before!

Go SW, young man!

Spent all of Saturday in the SW part and found great foliage. If you can find "Burr Pond Rd." that intersects Hwy 30, take it! Also, "Hullett Rd." near Benson.

We must have crossed paths with both of you! My wife and I did Roxbury-Warren and the Lincoln gap. Ate lunch in Bristol. Did the Bragg Hill Road, but wasn't that impressed. Agree with all the assessments...it's fairly drab out there with occasional good spots. We're gonna take advantage of the forec...

Tuesday report on Roxbury-Warren

My older brother and his wife are making their first trip to Vermont. Today they took the Roxbury-Warren road and were beside themselves when they tried to describe the area. They were really thanking me for directing them there. They said the area around Waitsfield has great color now.

Comparable site for New Hampshire?

This is such a fantastic site. I got to wondering...anyone know if there is a similar site for New Hampshire? We may spend some time there and I have no idea what the situation is.

How much is the toll? Is this just a single-lane road? Was the foliage anything worth mentioning?

Given the foliage situation this year...

There are quite a view of us coming to Vermont this week. I appreciate so much the reports that have come in. Obviously, with what the storm did last week, finding foliage becomes something of a challenge. So I beg those of you who travel the state early this week to make note of places where the fo...

Ah, been there many times. Once, my wife and I were exhausted after travelling all day and dropped by the little store in "downtown" Peacham. They were selling homemade lemon bars and man, did we load up!

Macks Mountain Road

If anyone gets to travel this road (goes NW out of Peacham) before next Friday, I would appreciate a critique of it's color. It was fantastic about this time last year, but we all know this is a different proposition this year.

As far as where to go, I would suggest just monitoring this forum...there already is a wealth of info about great places to look. As far as the timing, sounds like it'll be a bit late...again, monitor the site. My guess is that there will still be adequate foliage in the south. My wife and I are spe...
