Re: Connecticut Fall Foliage 2021

I drove into Northeastern Connecticut today and the foliage is mostly at peak and better than last year. It's a tough area to take foliage pictures of because of limited scenic vista's, private land and busy roads. I drove on Route 190, Route 89, Route 44, Route 31 and home.

Re: Connecticut Fall Foliage 2021

A few locations in Somers and Enfield that had good foliage color last year are brown/rust and going bare. I'll check out Northeastern Connecticut sometime next week. Hopefully better than last year, which had no color at all.

Re: State of Vermont foliage report No 3 Thursday October 7th, 2021

Southern Vermont is at peak, even slightly past in a few spots. The Connecticut River Valley isn't far behind. Looks like a spectacular weekend coming up weather and foliage wise.

Re: Southern Vermont 10-7-2021

Thanks for the update Kevin. We will end up in SoVT to hike and tool around the back roads over the long weekend. I love Bondville, and Magic Mountain is at a higher elevation and should be peak. I'm going to find out if they are doing their lift rides or not. We have not yet decided where in Manch...

Southern Vermont 10-7-2021 Beautiful peak foliage

I did a tour of Southern Vermont today and the weather and foliage color is spectacular. Areas visited were Magic Mountain, Londonderry, Stratton, Bondville and Mount Snow, West Dover. Routes traveled were I-91, Route 30, Route 11, Route 100 and 112. Oddly enough, the Connecticut River Valley around...

Re: State of color

From what I can see from the webcams Mad River Glen has some decent foliage color, maybe 50% changed. The Bolton Valley cams looked good also.

Further south, Stratton Mountain itself had some good color, Killington looked very green.

Re: Killington Color

The plan right now is to head up to Killington mid-week next week depending on the weather. Killington foliage only looks about 20-30% changed.

Re: Killington Color

Trying to decide if I should go to Killington tomorrow or wait a few days. I was up last year on October 1st and it was peak. This year looks behind peak by a few days.

Re: October 11 - 15 at Franconia notch SP

I'm also not familiar with Fall foliage in the rest of New Hampshire beyond the northern part. So any recommendations for the rest of New Hampshire I couldn't give. But generally the week of Columbus Day is too late for foliage in alot of Northern New England.
