Thank you for sharing your photos. I'm not sure how far I will make it today, but hoping to loop around Dixville Notch, and then maybe over into Vermont a bit. Decided to postpone the Willoughby/Barton/Stowe areas until tomorrow when it doesn't look quite as rainy. It's good to get an idea of what I...

Thanks for the weather update. I, too, will be staying in the White Mountains this weekend and am hoping the whole weekend won't be a washout. Hoping to head to the NEK on Saturday. Since it is now too late to change my hotel reservations, it's good to know there is some hope for the weekend!

Kinsman Notch is a beautiful ride! I hear it is also an area where you can often find moose. I would second the recommendation for the Woodstock Inn... I've eaten brunch there, and the sticky buns are to die for! I've only eaten dinner in the Woodstock Station portion of the area, but everything on ...

Thanks for the advice. I was actually going to post and ask if anyone had ideas for areas/locations which may be ideal with the rainy conditions forecast for this weekend. I'm still trying to decide it it's worth the expense of the hotel this weekend or if I should just make a long day trip on Satur...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for at least a little sun this weekend, but every time I check the weather report, it seems the chance of precipitation increases!

Wow! Thanks for sharing your photos Carol! They are gorgeous! It certainly looks like the colors are almost at peak. I don't think that I've been through Hazen's Notch before... now that I've seen your photo, it will definitely be on my "must do" list for this year!

If you're talking about Story Land, that is located on Rte. 16 in Glen, NH. Santa's Village is on Rte. 2 in Jefferson, NH.

CT - sure! I'm at work now, but will find and post a photo of the scarecrows when I get home. I figured there couldn't be too many scarecrow displays worthy of so much attention, but wanted to be sure it was the same one I had seen!

Does the scarecrow scene I keep seeing referred to involve what looks like a little maple syrup store? I have a few pictures of this from last year, but I'm not sure if it's the same one...
