Re: Questions about Burlington

Thanks bm, Yes, we are staying in town. We always stay in Killington but made a decision to visit other parts of Vermont. I think I might have made a big mistake. We do alot of driving around, so I'm sure we can easily head east but my hubby said NO to Polly's Pancakes in NH. LOL I wish I could chan...

Questions about Burlington

Hi All, Tomorrow we depart for Burlington. Has anybody been up in that neck of the woods recently? As our base will be Burlington, what would be some great day trips from that point and back. I am cravings some firecrackers! I will always remember 2012 as the most gorgeous foliage year I've every ex...

Re: Foliage Report for September 14th 2016

Thanks for the report Tim! The first report gets me very excited knowing we are on our way to viewing heaven on Earth! I hope I didn't make a huge mistake by booking Burlington for the first week of October. I wanted something around Stowe but anything I could afford was already taken. We don't mind...

Re: Burlington Area 1st week in beautiful October

Thank you for the wonderful suggestions for our trip to Burlington. I definitely feel the warmth coming from the lake keeps temperatures up in that area but the lake is calling my hubby. I am hoping for a few frosty nights. Bring it on, Mother Nature!

Burlington Area 1st week in beautiful October

Hi all, Even though I am sitting at my kitchen table with the windows finally open I am thinking about my trip to Burlington. Some of you know we usually make our home in Killington-Mendon for the week but after doing that area for many years it is time to explore a different part of Vermont. My hus...

What to do in Vermont when raining...

Hubby and I are on our way up to Killington tomorrow and the reports are calling for rain, rain and more rain! I am ready to cancel our trip but hubby wants to go. Besides not much color the rain will really dampen my spirits. We have been in this situation about 8 or 9 years ago and it was awful. A...

Re: Foliage Album 2014

NEK Your beautiful photos are mesmerizing to say the least. God has blessed you with the eye of an artist. I especially love the photos of the leaves which always bring back childhood memories for me. I am hoping this autumn will be as breath-taking as 2014 but if not, I'll still be in my beloved Ve...

Re: Today in VT Part II: Route 9 from West to East: Emerging Color in the Highlands!

I am happy to read your post about the beginning of the leaves changing. As you know, here in CT we are suffering from a drought. I haven't been following Vermont's weather but hope we all will be able to enjoy a long, beautiful autumn. IMHO, I can't imagine anything surpassing 2014. We have been co...
