It is. There is an easy pull off on the west side of route 5 toward the south end of the pond.

Re: FOLIASMS IN THE NEK! Go Now! Mind Boggling Color!
Tim: I think it is the CCC road just to the left of the parking lot of the south end of the lake, maybe up a piece. It's a dirt road and offers view south looking north. But I will look for Peen Hill now on my Jimapco. I'm starting out at the south end of Willoughby, taking the CCC road, then headi...

Re: FOLIASMS IN THE NEK! Go Now! Mind Boggling Color!
Tim: forgot to ask in the last post I just made. What is the name of the dirt road near Lake Willoughby that takes you to the high spot for long views of the lake???? We are also stopping there! Thanks! Are you thinking of Hinton Hill Rd? While it does get you up high, there really isn't much of a ...

Re: FOLIASMS IN THE NEK! Go Now! Mind Boggling Color!
Sweet aerial footage. I've been up and down the slopes of Rosebrook Hill (the hill at the end of the video) more times than I care to count in search of deer. I've yet to catch up to one
CT, are you and Carol going to be together tomorrow? I'll PM both of you my phone number.

Re: Foliage Update
Great report Kerry. I found the same conditions between Lyndonville, Barton, and Newark in the driving around for various places I was going yesterday. With the forecast weather conditions for the next week, The Monday-Wednesday timeframe will be the bullseye for conditions here in the NEK. It has t...

Re: Report of this week in the central NEK
Monday does look to be the rainy day of the next week. However, winds are forecast to be light. The bright reds will likely be peaking this weekend. However, with little wind they should stay on. As long as the rain isn't too heavy, it might actually keep the red leaves from drying out making Tuesda...

Report of this week in the central NEK
The color has been showing itself in a steady advancement this week here in the central NEK (Lyndon/St Johnsbury area). Higher elevations look to have a little more advanced color. Peak should arrive sometime next week. Tuesday (St Johnsbury): https://c7.staticflickr.com/9/8567/29338242214_9151a804e...

Geez Louise Carol (oh, that's me.... :? ). Do I have time to bring in my luggage at least? And put my stuffed moose on my bed pillow? Tim: I hope you can join Thelma and Louise on part of their journey! It would be great to meet you and I know you would have fun! Can you manage to slip aw...

Re: good places to kayak
Lewis Pond is quite a long drive from Stowe and not very big.
Closer to Stowe I would recommend Lake Elmore, the Green River Reservoir, or Waterbury Reservoir.

Great report Carol. I concur with all of it. The widespread frost last should set up near peak or peak in some areas by this coming weekend. It looks like you and CT are going to have great conditions next week.

Re: Recommendations for early Oct
Hi! Probably, on a hindsight it would be best to do the other way round as I saw today that there are interesting vineyards in Dunham so perhaps spending a couple of hours in the area before crossing over to VT and focusing around montgomery. In this way I can then leave Jay early on the 4th toward...
