I will be on the computer until tomorrow 9am so feel free to continue with your most needed and wanted updates....

pwt54- Looks like the Champlain Valley is where we will be headed. You have been a great source of information. I envy all the autumns and white winters you have witnessed and can reflect upon. You are living in a place where hopefully my DH and I will retire to in about 13 years.I realize VT is not...

Re: Next Year coming 5 days before Columbus Day
robafen and Axel- Thanks for the great info. This was just what I had been hoping for. Since we are going up to Vt for leaf peeping driving to Burlington or anywhere else within several hours is no problem. I also realize that rain is predicted but what can you do. I am glad you both were able to se...

Re: Dont go to ... areas in South-central- west Vermont
bm- Thanks for the positive feedback. My spirits are starting to peak again. We are staying in Stowe Wednesday-Sunday of this coming week and are not opposed to driving to see some nice sites. Would you be kind enough to maybe suggest to the best of your ability some routes we should maybe check out...

Re: Photographing Foliage Abstracts
Heather- Your "Bald Eagle in Flight" is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. Love the snowflakes in the pictures. I live to admire nature and your pictures are a joy to behold. Thank you for sharing with me... Hoping I can get to look at some trees cloaked in their autumn finery when...

Re: NH White Mtn area
pwt54, bm, Shirley, or anyone out there- We will be in Stowe for 5 days arriving on Wed. Oct 11-Sun. Oct 15. Would anyone be able to direct me to some nice routes even if it means NH. We are not afraid of putting on miles. I can't imagine going up there and seeing bare naked tress. There must be som...

Next Year coming 5 days before Columbus Day
Hi All- After reading the recent posts I guess I missed the boat this year. Regardless since our room is already booked for 5 days can anyone suggest any routes or areas within driving distance from Stowe to see the last vestages of foliage even if it means GASP going into NH? Any info would be appr...

Re: Are they REALLY predicting rain for 10/12-10/15?
HI bm-
Thanks for the the positive thoughts. You are right! They can't predict the weather for tomorrow let alone 5 days out. I just hope and pray that the weather is crisp, with gray-blue-white streaked autumn skies. Do you think there might be some foliage left to see in the Stowe area?

Are they REALLY predicting rain for 10/12-10/15?
Pleae, please don't tell me rain for my vacation. Last year it rained every day and now I was told by a co-worker that they are predicting rain for VT on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Just my luck...What are y'all hearings up there?

Stowe Area Oct 11-15
pwt, bm, and all- Well, it seems autumn has finally come to my part of CT. Temps have cooled down and all is well. Has anyone been up in the Stowe area that could report on the foliage situation there? I would greatly appreciate any info or any areas that might be so vibrant they blow my socks off w...

I am not exactly sure what areas the Northeast Kingdom encompasses. What towns did you visitor cruise by? :D We will be in Stowe Oct 11-Oct 15 and are looking for areas to explore. Can you suggest some towns, sites, restaurants, etc. I also would love to see your pictures. My e-mail address is sbot@...

Re: Route 12, the Worcester Woods Road
Good Day pwt54- Thanks for the report on Stowe. Too bad is should be past peak as we have a room booked at the Season's Pass Inn for 4 nights and there is no getting out of it without it costing. Also finding a room for 4 nights in Killington/Rutland might be hard if not impossible. I know our favor...
