Re: My VERMONT LIFE Autumn 2012 Issue Arrived Today!!!

My Vermont Life finally showed up yesterday.....have to say I was sorely disappointed in the lack of fall photos, not nearly as many as in years past. Still waiting on my Yankee....hopefully it will be more satisfying!

Re: Seasons Are Changing- 1 Month From Today-First Day of Fa

Autumn is cetainly on her way. I took a drive last week up Parleys Canyon here locally (I-80 east) and there were many rocky mtn. maples show their bright reds amd oranges, a little early this year probably mostly due to our dry conditions. But they were beautiful and it took my breath away and sent...

Re: Special guest this weekend....... Autumn!!

I am sooo envious of all this talk of cooler weather, we have been stuck in the mid 90's for another week, and only cooling to 70 At night. I long to be able to open my windows at night to a cool breeze! Is it September yet!

I like Mmvt's idea of tightening the shot to just the leaf and the rock, with the focal point being the leaf. Thanks to all I'm learning much.

Re: Critique #17

I'm certainly no expert, but I do prefer the flipped image, somehow more pleasing to the eye. As for cropping I would leave the sky and crop the bottom just above the cows, removing them completely, if you don't like the way the are facing.

Re: YOWZAH! Trip Report: 7/21/12-Mt. Snow/West Dover/Back Ro

Wow! Sounds like a great trip and a beautiful picture. I am feeling very envious right now as our trip plans for the fall have been put on hold. My hubby was notified a week ago last Tues. that he was being laid off with a end date of Aug. 17th. :( So unless something turns up right away, we may be ...

We finally got a full day of rain last Thursday, which is unusual for us, and a brief brake from the heat. But the next three days temps will be 100+ with lows in the 70's, ugh! I shouldn't complain there are those that have suffered worst, my air conditioning works and rain is in the forecast for t...

Dear Wxman76, ya got anything in that crystal ball for us out west. Any relief in sight? Haven't had any rain forever, and I am so tried of the wind, heat, and the smell of smoke from all the wildfires. Please say there's hope out there! CT, your posts have me so anxious for a breath of cool air! :(
