Re: Peak Color!
Krishna, maybe southeastern VT or in the Upper Valley, around Hartford. Though I think Burlington tends to turn later, so that might be a good spot to try.

Re: Peak Color!
Kent Pond and Colton Pond are popular spots along Rt 100, north of Rt 4 and not far from Rt 4. Not far from there is Chittenden Reservoir and Leffert's Pond. Oh, also Thundering Brook Rd. There is a stream that runs along there, lots of spots with small waterfalls, then at the end of the road (farth...

Barns?
I've been wanting to get some good barn with fall foliage pics. I know about Cloudland Rd. and Sleep Hollow Farm and Jenne Farm, but does anyone know of any other spots with good barn scenes?

NH Foliage 9/28
I did some scouting this morning in Enfield. There are pockets of color, still early yet. I'm seeing a lot of the green-brown malaise that we've been seeing the last couple of falls, also. Not sure why. I went down 89 to Concord and between exit 15 and exit 11, really good color. I'd say a good 70% ...

Re: Newbie in search of Vermont foliage view
I took that photo on 10/12/15, so if things are running a week ahead, it might be pretty good.

Re: Newbie in search of Vermont foliage view
OK, I see how to do it now. So, I took this from the top of Devil's Hill in 2015: DSC_7726_a_sm_c.jpg Be warned that it is a steep hike once you get to the hill after walking maybe a mile from the parking area. Also note that when you turn down the road to the parking area there is only room for one...

Re: Newbie in search of Vermont foliage view
Sorry, I was going to post a picture I took, but I don't see any way to imbed one from my hard drive. Looks like it needs to already be on the internet as it is looking for a URL.

CT, later when I am home, I'll post a pic I took at Devil's hill in a previous year.

Re: Newbie in search of Vermont foliage view
Devi's Hill in Peacham will give a great panoramic view. It will be a sea of color. If you don't mind a little hike to get there. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/verm ... hill-trail
Owl's Head Overlook in Groton State Park is another good spot and a short hike from the parking lot.

Re: Foliage in Quechee
I'm expecting to be in Quechee on Oct. 8th, I can report back then, but will report sooner if I end up going through there earlier. I can say in Lebanon, NH, our foliage has turned a bit early this year. I'd say we are at about 50%. I think this is probably due to some drought stress. What I've seen...

Re: Northwest Connecticut & Southwestern Massachusetts 10-19-2019
Thanks for the report, Loafer. I drove down to Melrose, MA from Lebanon, NH today and the most color I saw was around the Nashua exit on Rt. 93 and around exits 42 - 37 heading south on Rt. 95. I also did a little hiking at Lynn Woods in Lynn. I went to the top of the stone tower and quite the view ...

Re: Leaf-drop after heavy rain today
I think I forgot to mention, one mountain that had good color on Rt. 7 was Mt. Tabor.
