Re: ANDY's PHOTOGRAPHING VERMONT'S FALL FOLIAGE eBOOK

Some (hopefully) good news on this: I will be working on an updated version of this book during 2016. Not sure we can have it ready by the 2016 foliage season, but will be working on it. I have persuaded Carol Smith, one of our regular, talented photographers here with "boots on the ground"...

THE BEST OF VERMONT; Scenic Drives, Viewpoints, Ponds, Lakes, Streams, Bridges and Buildings

In an effort to "unclutter" the top of the board, this is the "new" "sticky" Thread for all the information posted as scenic drives, scenic views, ponds, lakes, streams, waterfalls, etc. All former sticky threads have been merged into this topic . You should be able to ...

Re: Tribute to GIC

This will be a long post, but as it relates to GIC, someone many of us held as a dear friend and voluminous contributor here, I hope you will indulge. George died in 2012, much too young, with much still to do here, of cancer. He fought it valiantly and with good humor and he touched our lives a way...

2015 Vermont Trip

Thanks to Al and Carol, I was able to make the trip after all, with Al providing transportation and Carol providing lodging and both providing great company! We were early for late foliage, but we did what we could: Here are a few of mine (rest can be found on my Vermont folder in my SmugMug http://...

Re: What road is Maple Grove Farm E. Barnard located?

Well, of course, those are 2 different places some distance apart. We learned here recently that "real" photographers aren't allowed to do that

Re: 2015 Vermont Foliage Trip

LOL. I will post my stuff in a minute. I shot side by side with Al for the whole trip. I think HE hit the saturation slider more than me :D

Re: VERMONT PONDS AND LAKES

MG: This shot was taken at the south end of the lake and was mid-morning. Vermont 5A goes around the north end of the lake and flanks the east side down to the south end. You can take 5A out of West Burke and when you see the lake, you are there. Because I have a close friend who lives in Barton, I ...

Here is an idea of what it might look like in better light. This was Saturday, Oct 3. As noted, the upper trees need to gain some color

Re: Suggestions for this Friday

Just FYI, Waitsfield is not in the NEK :D. If you drive up 100, you will go through Waitsfield (south of I-89, Waterbury and Stowe). If you take any detours on back roads, you just might find yourself hijacked and never make to the NEK! If it is your first time there and based on what your SO's seem...
