My husband and my daughter were there on Saturday and Sunday(yesterday). The report from my husband was, "I thought I'd see more color...there were a few red trees, but everything was mostly green. There was more color over near Killington."

My sister lives on Lincoln Gap Road....I agree...for "views", there are better roads
as much of the Lincoln Gap Road is borded by the forest. It's a classic case of not being able to see the forest for the trees.

If you don't mind a comment from someone who lives in California, I'd like to add that I recently took that route over the Middlebury Gap...Rt.125, and enjoyed stopping and walking the short 1 mile loop (The Robert Frost Interpretive Trail) near Breadloaf - about 7 miles after you get on Rt.125. Woodstock,VT Next Weekend

We have to be in Woodstock,VT, next weekend...Sept. 24& 25. I realize that is early for most peak performance in that area, but if we head a bit further West, toward Killington, will we be able to catch some good color?

Rochester Gap

I was wondering if there was any advantage/disadvantage to taking the Rochester Gap (Camp Brook Road) from Bethel to Rochester, instead of going Rte. 107 & Rte. 100 (This weekend) ?
