Coastal Maine should be good that week. Maybe Newburport, MA, too.

I drove through Waits River and East Corinth yesterday on Rt. 25. It was raining a bit, but still some decent color there.

Re: Driving from Boston to Stowe Tomorrow

I was at Groton State Park yesterday and it was fine. A few trees along the road were past peak, but color around Ricker Pond was still very good. I was just passing through there. Marshfield was still excellent and along Rt. 2 to Rt12 also very good. I headed south down Rt. 12 to Northfield and all...

I was in Burke yesterday, too. It was spectacular. All along 114 from Lyndonville to Island Pond was bursting with color. I would say all of that area, Island Pond, too is at peak.

Re: Nice color in Pittsburg NH--Google Pittsburg NH Webcams

There are pockets of good color between Enfield, NH and Canaan. And along Rt 118 in Dorchester. But the rest is still early and just beginning to turn. I noticed a lot around Quechee and Woodstock, VT that some trees start to turn yellow but then turn brown. Kind of what we saw happening last fall. ...

Northwestern Maine

For those wanting to venture further afield, northern Maine in the Rangely Lakes area is really good right now. Just got back today. Height of the Land was spectacular, too bad it was a bit rainy at the time. Bethel is looking pretty good, but a bit behind. Rumsford all the way up route 17 to Rangle...

This photo looks like it was taken from above. It may be a drone shot.

Re: Bristol-Brandon Gap-Killington-Waitsfield-App Gap-Bristol Loop 10/2/15

Today, I took 100 up from Killington to Waitsfield and there was lots of nice color along the way. Probably 60% turned or so. Tried Bragg Hill Rd and Common Rd in Waitsfield, but both were still pretty green. Not much color to be seen from the Sugarbush resort, either, too early still. Roxbury Mount...

Re: Legalities

On this topic I asked the same question at a workshop with a professional photographer at Hunt's Photo and he said anyone in public should have no expectation of privacy, therefore legally, a release is not needed to sell a fine art photo that has a person in it. However, if you intend to use the ph...

Re: State Foliage Report issued on September 30th, 2015

I drove around the NEK today. Drove up from Lebanon, NH. St. Johnsbury looked good from 91, btw. I went up Route 5 in Lyndonville to 114E, then Darling Hill Rd, which had some good views, probably abou 50% turned, still quite a bit of green. Next it was Burke Hollow Rd, Sugarhouse Rd, Newark St. the...
