Re: Foliage Report Oct. 12 & 13

Thanks for your report...I am sure others will appreciate it. If you are arriving late for the peak in a particular region, get off the main roads and onto the unpaved ones. Where the canopy is lush you might well still find spectacular color.

------------------
Timothy Palmer-Benson [Mail:...

Re: a confession : "too much is not enough". and hence, ad

Hello Hari:
There is still time to make another trip back to Vermont...just stick to the south. All next week should be fine. If you need a place to say, check our lodging listings. Some of the best inns in southern Vermont are affiliated with our sites. Check our southern counties map for places...

Re: Fall Foliage as of Oct.8th

I would stay in the south. The Stowe area peaked last weekend. It is still pretty good, but another week will see mostly brown color. From the looks of things, the week of the 14th to 20th should be just fine in southern Vermont.
------------------
Timothy Palmer-Benson [Mail:tim@pbpub.com]<BR...

Re: second week of oct weather

I have to agree with Susanne on this...keep your dates! Foliage is peaking now in Northeastern Vermont. Smugglers is not far behind what the Northeast Kingdom is experiencing now.
------------------
Timothy Palmer-Benson [Mail:tim@pbpub.com]
** Web Publishing for Vermont **
*** <A HREF...

Re: Foliage: Scenic Routes -Driving, Hiking, Biking

Great driving routes for foliage viewing aren't always that obvious. After living here for about 15 years, I can offer you this advise:
1. If you are in the Stowe area at the right time(peak or near peak), take the mountain road to Smugglers Notch.
2. Craftsbury and Craftsbury Common - a half h...

Re: Foliage during labor day weekend

Please consult our foliage maps. They offer the best over all prediction about when and where to see foliage at different weeks during the season. Foliage season usually starts in northeastern Vermont around the first or second week in September, then gradually moves south.
You can view the maps ...

Re: Late Sept?

Late September should be fine for foliage, especially in southern Vermont. No, we have no indication of when foliage season will start.

------------------
Timothy Palmer-Benson [Mail:tim@pbpub.com]
** Web Publishing for Vermont **
*** <A HREF="http://www.scenesofvermont.com" TARGET=...

Re: Need suggestions for Fall 2001 trip!

Your dates are good. Here's an idea that's a bit different...Why not fly into Montreal, rent a car there and drive down into Vermont. It is only about one hour's drive from Dorval airport to the Vermont border. Stowe is only about two hours drive from the airport. That's far better than the three to...

The dates you mention are past peak.
