Abby: thanks! Didn't want to forget you - your pics of Rochester were exactly as I saw it! We went to the Rochester Cafe at 4 on Friday but they were just closing. Seemed kind of early but she was kind enough to let us in so we could buy some crafts - the menu next door looked delicious! Aspen : the...

ixl: thank you! I'll take route 7 then out of Bennington for better mountain views for my guests and skip route 313 to save some time. Two questions: Is your recommendation to see Lake Shaftsbury much off route 7A just in case we change our minds last minute? Secondly, how long a drive is it up to M...

Abby: I think you should enter Shadow Lake Photo into a contest or submit to a magazine. It is very unique, the lighting variants are lovely, and the foliage canopy is gorgeous. What a picturesque shot! I think this is one of the best I have seen. Please show more!

Abby: thanks so much! This is so encouraging as I've never made such late October trips to Vermont! The pics of the Rochester green and the gazebo are great! I think Courtmel had mentioned the Rochester Cafe in an earlier post. It looks adorable. We are looking forward to this trip with such excitem...

Abby: your pictures are stunning, they gave me the chills! The reflective shots are just beautiful and my favorite is the Barnet barn scene. I was fortunate to spend a few days in the Peacham, Danville and Barnet areas in 2003, a most glorious fall season. I love Peacham and it will always remain a ...

Need help w/ Rochester route to Chelsea and Strafford areas

By way of the descriptions in the Explorer’s Guide , the towns of Strafford, Chelsea, Tunbridge (the book says that Tunbridge has five covered bridges), Brookfield, Royalton and Randolph sound so inviting! All the...
