Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Hi Sparks You will be fine in a sedan. There are some dirt roads on that route but they are all well maintained. The only road on that route that's rough is wheeler mountain road. I do not advise you to follow that road any further than the pond. Go back the way you came in to Rte 5. Or you could sk...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Yes, you could do Groton State Forest. There are several places in the Ebook that you could see here, but they are mostly landscapes with ponds. You could also do the Peacham/Barnet area which gives you more churches and barns to include in your photos. These places are also in the book. From Groton...

Re: PHOTOGRAPHING VERMONT'S FALL FOLIAGE eBOOK

This edition of the Ebook is no longer available at the retailers because I'm happy to say that the Second Edition, which is new and has more locations than volume 1, is going to be available any day now. Andy will post as soon as it is released for purchase!

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Hi Sparks, So much to do......so little time, as the saying goes. :D Ok let's break this down one step at a time. So your flight into Boston arrives a bit earlier. That's a good thing. As long as you are not too tired to drive for three hours, you could head straight up to the White Mountains of NH ...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Hi sparks. Just stay in one place. If you book at Burke mountain or the other places I recommended it will put you in an ideal location for you to travel through the northeast kingdom each day. Use the hotel as your home base. After you book I can help you fill in the blanks of specific scenic areas...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Hi Sparks, Ok I have a better idea of what you are looking for. You do NOT want to go to Acadia NP or Maine for two reasons. If you decide to go on the earlier dates, the color will not be at coastal Maine yet. The second reason is there is not enough time for you to possibly cover all of those area...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Hi Sparks and welcome! I wouldn't pay much attention to that foliage planner map. I personally can't stand that thing. It's impossible to pinpoint when peak will be.....especially on this map which remains the same year after year after year. There are so many variables that go into when the ...

While you are out and about leaf peeping, I have some recommendations of a few of my favorite places to stop and visit in the Northeast Kingdom. Parsons Corner Restaurant on Glover Rd in Barton. Open for breakfast and lunch. You will not find a better breakfast in the area in my opinion. Excellent f...
