Re: jpeg sizes

Thank you for your replies, but gosh, I just feel so stupid. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. It is like a foreign language to me. All I know is that I take my pictures, download them, and look at them and tweak them here or there (color/contrast/crop etc) and they come out great....

Hi, I have some really beautiful pictures I took this weekend and would like to post them on the contributors forum, but my kb sizes are all in the 600's and 700's and I didn't dare to try to post them because I had read somehwere not to post them if they were over 250. Is there any way I can post t...

Re: Honest Assessment So Far

To answer your question about the Northeast Kingdom,..... no it is definately not past peak. My husband was up there last Wed. (Sept. 27th) and came home and said the colors were so-so. When we went up over this weekend,(Sept. 30-Oct. 1st) which was just 3 days after his so-so report, I was so pleas...

Re: OT: any update on NH?

Hi,
I traveled rte 93 south through New Hampshire on Sunday and it looked to be at or just about near peak. Going through the Franconia Notch area was really beautiful.

Re: North East Kingdom Routes

Autumnleaf, I sent you my pictures as you requested. To answer your question, the Northeast Kingdom runs basically from rt 2 North up to the Canadian border. It's just a bit northeast of Stowe where you will be. I see you got lots of replies and suggestions for the Stowe area from your other post. I...

Re: North East Kingdom Routes

I'm so sorry. I thought I sent them to you, but I didn't. I just sent them, they may take a while but you will be getting them. The routes that PWT wrote about in my initial email that I wrote titled the northeast kingdom (I think) are definately do-able for you to do from the Lyndonville area. We t...

Re: North East Kingdom Routes

Okay. I just sent you and autmnleaf my pictures. I think you are really going to get a very good idea about the Northeast Kingdom conditions and views from my pictures. I am a Northeast Kingdom lover and it's really the only area of VT I am familiar with. I think Lyndonville is a great point for you...

Re: North East Kingdom Routes

Hi, I just got back from the kingdom tonight and we had a fantastic weekend. Saturday the weather was spectacular. It was mostly cloudy Sunday morning and it showered just a bit off and on until the early afternoon. I am totally exhausted right now and am heading to bed but I will check back tomorro...

Re: Northeast Kingdom

Hi, Actually, I was up in the kingdom this weekend too. I honestly was pleasantly surprised by the color. My husband was up in the middle part of the week and said the colors at that time were just so-so. BUT, I think they really came a bit more alive over the past few days. It was not vibrant has i...

Re: Interview with PWT

That was fantastic. Thanks so much for posting that. It's so nice to put and face and voice with the name that we read so much here. He is a wonderful spokesman for the beautiful state of Vermont. How lucky they are to have him! On another note, heading up to the kingdom shortly for the weekend. Hop...

Re: Barton, Glover, Daniels Pond, & Willoughby

Hi, Well, my husband got home and said the colors in the Barton/Willoughby area are "just so-so". He was up there 2 weeks ago and the colors were already starting, so he was surprised to see that they were still "dull" and are coming along slowly. Wish I had better news for you. ...

Re: Barton, Glover, Daniels Pond, & Willoughby

Hi Rolland, My husband is taking an unexpected trip up to Barton in the morning. He's not going to have time to go out and explore the foliage, but he will be able to give me a good idea about the conditions that he will see just from being up there in the area. I'll write back tomorrow night when h...

Thanks Tim and bm for the replies. Andy was so right about this forum being so good for these types of questions.

You saved me (and possibly the brakes on my minivan) from a not so great experience!

Re: Northeast Kingdom

Thank you so much for that driving tip. We are definately going to try to check one of those recommended routes out. I was wondering, has anyone ever taken the drive up the toll road at Burke Mountain? If so, how are the views? Also, I am extremely fearful of heights.........is it the type of road w...
