Wouldn't this make three years in a row with poor color? What's going on up there? Is there some kind of lingering problem, like the tree mold issue?

If it isn't too much trouble, the later dates would give you more leverage. You could have the run of the state and you wouldn't have to stick to the northern tier, like you would if you went up on Wednesday. On the other hand, Vermont is always beautiful, whether it's peak color or a little early. ...

I would estimate that to get from the point where it's "early, but good" to the point where it's "late, but still good" probably takes about two weeks. Or two weeks and a few days.
