Re: A little further North, Gesipie National Park
Be care on the roads at night, there are almost always moose after dark on 299 inside the park. This area was past peak a few days ago. Lafarce trail off Hwy 16 is one of the shorter climbs up with good open views and moose and spruce grouse in the mornings.

A little Further North: Forillon National Park, Quebec
Last week I went to Forillon National Park in Quebec just above New Brunswick. This is a very nice park. Although I don't show it here, there are hillsides with fall color right now in addition to the sea cliffs. Moose can be seen by driving at night or visiting the beaver pond evening or very early...

Mount Pisgah
These pictures are old (Sept 28th) but show it's a really cool trail to consider anytime of year. I went up mount pisgah south trail. It's right on the side of the road (there is a road you can drive up opposite of it).

Re: Differences between this forum and Social Media
Quality of information is more important than quantity. This forum archives a lot of useful information that would be impossible to find on social media sites.

I appreciate this board. I care about the quality of information much more than the quantity. As long as the board exists, I will do my best to contribute something every year.

Re: Last week of September or mid October
I'm further south in Central MA. Here I am seeing trees turning in town and in the swampy areas, but most trees are still pretty green. Wish I had the ability to go up north and see up that way but my gf currently has covid so have to stay close to home. Good luck on your trip.

Re: Ludlow 10/9
From Okemo Mountain go North on 103 to Buttermilk falls road. The road is kind of a gravel road half way through but in excellent condition. Parking is along the side of the road, there is a small sign but it would easy to miss as it's in the woods just off the side of the road so go slow. Coming fr...

Ludlow 10/9
Busy today with the Chilli Cookoff going Went to Okem0 and Buttermilk falls. Did not go to the top of Okemo due to dense fog near the top. Photos will never look as good as actually being there, using a point and shoot and untrained photographer but I've done my best to show what it looks like. 103 ...

Right by it Molly Stark Park talked to the ranger said there's a fire tower. I think it's about 1.6 miles R/T if you're in the mood for a hike after the roadside views.

Re: Mount Snow
Yep that's what I did too the bluebird. I think it's around 25$ but well worth it it would take a long time to walk it I think. One view is obvious where the lift let's out but behind the buildings there are some other slopes you can look out that don't include any obstructions too. There is a hikin...
