Re: Connecticut Fall Foliage 2020
Yes...I checked in on this with the B&B. While they are following all guidelines, my wife and I have recent negative COVID results after being tested recently. We were advised to bring them, and was informed that we shouldn't have any issues. We'll see!

Re: State foliage report for Thursday, October 8th
Nice report, CT!
Hoping Brandon and Weston this coming weekend do not disappoint. We are staying at The Lilac Inn this weekend, and plan to make our ritual stop in Weston. We were in Woodstock and Queeche last weekend, and there was barley any color anywhere

Re: Connecticut Fall Foliage 2020
Hi Loafer and nice to 'hear' from you again, CT! So, I just drove through Oxford and Southbury today. I must say that the colors - and I am not exaggerating - were at or very close to peak in many areas. I definitely think over the next few days with the rainy, cool weather, this area will peak. Two...

Re: Connecticut Fall Foliage 2020
I live in Woodbury, and the weekend prior to this past weekend was INCREDIBLE in the Woodbury, Bethlehem, Southbury, Oxford areas. Although early, MANY trees were appearing as almost peak! Heading to Devil's Hopyard State Park and Chapman Falls this weekend, and venture to think there will be an abu...

Disappointing colors this past weekend in Woodstock
Made the trip to Woodstock ad Queeche this past weekend. Disappointed to see perhaps less than a handfull of tress with barely any color. Reading the forum for this year's updates, I was under the presumption that the color progression, although it occurs first at higher elevations and points furthe...

Re: Vermont's confusing lodging restrictions
We just reserved a room at The Barnstead In in Manchester for October 9-11. Innkeeper did not raise any concerns as of two weeks ago.

Re: Another weather 'miss' this weekend :(
Hi All, Well, last weekend was consistent with what the Weather Service called for. Friday afternoon brightened up nicely. Saturday was mostly rain on and off. It actually was SNOWING at the summit of Killington! All the trees were 'decorated' with white canopies. And as to be expected, Sunday was g...

Another weather 'miss' this weekend :(
So, we leave tomorrow for our annual Vermont weekend getaway. We will be staying at The Arlington Inn, with visits to Weston for the village stores, Bennington on Saturday (Spa treat for my wife at Green Mountain Oasis), then the K1 gondola ride at Killington. Weather looks good for tomorrow's drive...

Hey CT! Nice to 'see' you. Thanks. As we all know, a bad weather weekend in Vermont always beats a great day at work....anytime!
Hoping for the best (aka most colorful)!

Any Early Predictions?
Hi Folks, Weather here in Litchfield County, CT has been MISERABLE! Rain and humid for weeks. I'll be heading to Arlington 10/12 - 10/14, and was wondering how the weather has been in that area and weather the foliage will be any better than last year. Hope all is well, and Autumn starts exactly one...

Re: What gives????
Well, I think the peak finally hit the Litchfield Hills in CT this weekend, as most areas seem to have brought better color than i experienced in Southern Vermont last weekend. Even the Innkeepers stated that is was a late season this year, so I 'rolled the dice' and booked the same weekend for next...

Re: Southern Vermont Report
Bummer, as I will be heading to Arlington tomorrow. And to top it off, what looked like a great weekend weather wise (the rain was pushing out each day), now today shows solid rain for both Saturday and Sunday. EVERY OTHER DAY before and after is cloudless

Re: What gives????
Hi CT! I will, thanks. Woodbury literally changed overnight last weekend. I think the trees got tired of waiting for the cooler air, and succumbed to the lack of longer daylight. I think with the cooler days we have had (thank gawwwwwd that humidity is gone), things will accelerate.
