Hi Triz! Thanks for popping in here. I hope your fall in Philly (?) is just beautiful so you can still enjoy the season. It was 55 here this morning and the last couple of days have been sparkling. It's been so hot this summer and we have had 38 days of 90's in northern CT. I'm so ready for the tra...

Hi CT

I want to wish you and everyone else a great fall, which we all need.
For the second year in a row I will miss my New England fall trip. Last year because my first daughter was born, this year for the pandemic.

But I look forward to make up for it next year, with the entire family!!!

What an atypical foliage season we had in Philly

Foliage was very atypical this year in my city (Philly). Maples turned very early around October 20th (at least 10 days earlier than usual) and leaves dropped super quickly. Also, colors not great, with most red maples turning yellow rather than red and sugar maples not being very bright orange. The...

Re: foliage wrap up 2019

I have seen lots of pictures of the Pomfret/Woodstock area on social networks, displaying excellent foliage. Of course it’s social networks, so it’s hard to say how much of it is due to photo editing, but it seemed spectacular. I was surprised to see that, because forum has been unusually quiet in t...

Re: Where to go to see peak foliage the weekend of 10/12

So you guys are suggesting not to go to VT at all? I really want to go to VT this weekend. I am hoping at least a few areas to have nice colors. But can't decide where exactly to go. Need help with that from the experts. How about Burlington, Bennigton? Hey Krishna, Last year on 10/13-10/14 I found...

Re: SAT 10-5 Foliage Report

So, it seems like ever since 2017, besides NEK and Higher elevations in the southern part, Vermont foliage has been struggling to show off properly.
Do you think it is just the climate change? Is it rainfall or the temperatures? It feels like NH is overall holding up better, am I wrong?

Wow, last year on October 14 Newfane and Townshend were completely green.
And this year on October 3rd they are 70% turned. Clearly I have bad luck!

Re: OFF-TOPIC: Connecticut Foliage

Hey CT, when you have a chance could you recommend a couple of lodges in the Washington Depot area?
If we go we go there on the Columbus day weekend. We haven't made a final decision, but we will decide soon.

Thanks in advance!
