Re: Aerial video of Owls Head in Groton

Hi John, that's great! I'll be there as I mentioned on 10/5 for the festivities and I know exactly where the pond is! Keep 'em coming! CT Here's my friends version of Owl's Head. Even though we fly together, we don't often have the same video. He was able to fly much lower to the observation area a...

Re: October 5-8 too early?

I don't know a lot about that area, but I think you will be fine with those dates. I know the upper elevations of the Green Mountains between Brattleboro and Bennington usually have very good color around those dates. I'm sure someone that knows more about that area will chime in.

Re: Early color in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont

Hi John: this will be my third time at the Lewis Overlook. I try to go every couple of years. It never disappoints. I even enjoy the long ride in because the anticipation of the finality of arriving at the overlook is worth every minute! Have you been to Moose Bog in the state’s Wenlock Wildlife Ma...

Re: Early color in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont

John: not sure you are still following this thread but looks like I'll be at Lewis Pond on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd unless rain dictates that I go Monday or Wednesday in the alternative. I hope the color will be good then, if not, I sure do like going there nonetheless. I heard from Phil and he is on for ...

Re: Early color in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont

The Boston TV weather guy last night said it now looks like the next two weeks are forecast to be warmer than it has been so far in September, which would slow foliage down, and push us back to a normal instead of early peak. Is it correct or still there is scope of flexibility ? Eric Fisher from W...
