How to reach at tis location in Woodbury ?

It is in Woodbury. How to reach here ? Planning to capture this at sunrise next weekend, so want to have some idea, how much time I should give to reach here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/dinosaur8 ... otostream/

Is there any pass for all state parks/forests ?

I was looking at my itinerary and it looks like, I will be visiting, I think 8-9 state parks and state forests during my 5 days travel in VT and a bit of NH.
Does it make sense to buy a combined pass (if there is one) or pay as we go would be better ?

Thanks

Re: So Mother Nature Has Thrown Us A Curve Ball...

Wednesday hit 80 and it has been warm since last week. CT also mentioned "we will have temperatures near 90 through Tuesday and mid 80s through Thursday". Seems like, the EARLY colors hit a wall and they are not progressing until this area gets more cool temps, which have less chances. On top of tha...

Two questions regarding iPhone !!!

One of it/or both can be dumb question(s), but - 1- How is Verizon cellphone network in Vermont/New Hampshire area ? I been to Alaska and only ATnT leads there, so I am asking, if it same here ? 2- I bought Carol's book on Kindle. Does anybody know, how to put GPS coordinates in google map on iPhone...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Just one last price of information for lodging. I still have coice to cancel and re-book it. We are thinking of renting vacation rental and few places are showing same prices as hotels. Cheapest one (and looking nice) is Grammy's house in east Hardwick, VT. As per your suggested plan, will it be con...

Re: Early color in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont

The Boston TV weather guy last night said it now looks like the next two weeks are forecast to be warmer than it has been so far in September, which would slow foliage down, and push us back to a normal instead of early peak. Is it correct or still there is scope of flexibility ?

As far as gravel road is concerned, any Sedan/full size car can go.
Will I need SUV, if high clearance is needed on your suggested roads ?

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Thank you sooooooo much. You are amazing and I totally trust you for areas you have choosen here. I feel, if I can split my places, it would give us more opportuity of verity. So may be, I can see killington area in later part of trip, it would be nice. Will it be ok to spend first half of 2nd Octob...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Sparks, I think you picked the better of the 2 weekends and agree with Carol's suggestion that you consider just one hotel as a "home base". The only thing I might do differently is stay 3 nights in the Northeast Kingdom (VT) area and then a 4th night more in Central VT if that's an area you want t...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

Thanks CT. I can see availability during my dates in Comfort Inn, though more expensive than other choices. I have booked flight, but not lodging yet. I will wait for Carol or any other destination expert to come in and help me with question, asked in my previous post, regarding 1 base vs 2 bases, t...

Re: Which weekend and which area to visit New England ?

I really appreciate your efforts Carol. I will book hotel tonight. I have 4 nights, so (initially) I thought if taking hotel at two places will help us to cover more ground, if few places are far, depend on which area is at peak or even non-fall-foliage scenery (not only Vermont but in other New Eng...
