Re: Foliage color appears on schedule in the north

I hear u CT. We are lucky enough to be staying near a Walmart our first night so will load up on snacks and any last minute supplies. Sounds like u are going to have a full load. At least u get to load up your vehicle rather than a suitcase!! I can just hear my hubby asking, do u really need all tho...

Re: Foliage color appears on schedule in the north

Sounds just like Colorado weather. Even tho my clothes are somewhat already picked out, I'm sure I will be making last minute changes. If I didn't have to worry about that 50lb limit  I'd be just fine!! Gotta make sure I have room for maple syrup and other fun shopping. Shipping might be my be...

Re: Foliage color appears on schedule in the north

And the guessing game begins.....that's what makes it so much fun for me!! I've been watching the weather. I'm still 2 weeks away but noticed it was showing rain for several days right before we arrive. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

As I listened to Harvest Moon last night

Suggestion of CT I was reminded of some of my favorite songs that give me that aha moment. Have u ever put down your camera long enough to put on a song that gives that moment of serenity while u are looking over a pond, a spectacular view of Vermont foliage, or anything else that makes u at peace? ...

Re: What Are Your Favorite Harbingers of Fall?

I can relate CT!! I know that's why the big red barns on the hillsides with cattle in the background mean so much to me. It brings back great memories. My Dad was a simple hardworking man that loved his life on the farm. We went to CO every summer after wheat harvest for a week but that was the exte...

Favorite picnic spot and outdoor eating

We would love to sit outside and enjoy lunch with great views. Do you have a favorite picnic spot or a fun place with outdoor seating?

Re: Route 114

That's a beautiful pic!! I am trying to fit everything in I want to do that day which is our busiest day on a 10 day trip. It's a challenge!! I have been to Newark pond and Jobs pond before and they were beautiful but unfortunately we have to keep moving so I'm trying to find the quickest way to get...

Re: What Are Your Favorite Harbingers of Fall?

When I hear the band playing at the school from my house, it's a reminder that fall is around the corner. Makes me so happy! Cooler temps, windows open, time for sweatshirts and burning my fireplace on a cool night...love that smell! Pumpkins of all colors shapes and sizes, mums, the first sign of t...

Route 114

On our last trip, Route 114 was amazing!! One of my best pics was taken on the right side of the road heading north with a horse and big rustic barn on the hillside. I'm wanting to take that route again but not wanting to go all the way to Island Pond. What would be my best bet to get from Route 114...
