Skyline Drive/Mt. Equinox

I drove up Skyline Drive to the top of Mt. Equinox today. There is good color between 2,000' and 3000'. I walked out to the rock and got some photos of Manchester between clouds, should be great on a clear day.

ixl,
I am staying at the Sunrise condo in Killington. I went to Woodstock & River Road area today, I think the Killington area has better color.

Addison County Mountains foliage report

I did the drive #11 shown below today, some areas are good and some areas are past peak or bare. The Jerusalem area was certainly the best. Re: killington and rutland this weekend

I rode the Killington SKYESHIP and K1 gondola rides today. Neither one has much red, mostly orange, yellow and green. The SKYESHIP colors are best at about the mid-point stop and decrease the closer you get to the top. The K1 has some color and bare trees at the base and get really barren as you go ...

Re: how is groton forest on rt 232, what r the places 2 see?

I went to Groton State Park on rt 232 on Oct 5, I was disapointed. So many leaves on the ground. I did Owls Head and all the water bodies except for Ricker Pond. Boulder Beach is a beautiful area but the wind has taken a toll on the leaves.

Re: Anyone go up to northern VT today?

I don't have any experience with what is peak etc. I traveled from St. Johnsbury to West Danville on rt 2 then rt 15 to Hardwick then rt 14 to rt 100 near Newport Center. Then Rt 100 S to rt 100C to rt 15 in Johnson on into Burlington. I think there is more color in the first 1/3 or 1/2 of that trip...

Sanity check for this schedule

Hi, I need a sanity check for the following schedule, thanks in advance for any suggestions. Perhaps I am planning too much time for one area and not enough for somewhere else?? I have a large number of local scenic routes planned for each of the areas. I can leave home (Alabama) as early as Sep. 22...
