Re: Foliage is getting started early this year

The foliage around Sugarloaf looks to be about a week early. According to the webcams, the upper mountain is near peak, and about 30-50% on the lower mountain. I'm not sure this will last 10 days until we get there. It was in the upper 20's earlier this week, and the color went from mostly green to ...

Re: Foliage is getting started early this year

I'm heading up to Vermont sometime in the next week. I'm not sure where I am going, but that will probably be it for me. I'm going to Western Maine on 10/5 - 10/7 with my son for Fall foliage. I've never been to Maine for Fall foliage before, so I'm looking forward to it. Maine allows lodging for fo...

Re: What an atypical foliage season we had in Philly

We had a very colorful Fall foliage this year with the Oak trees. The peak foliage came about 7-10 days early, around October 26th.

The freeze conditions the last few nights brought out a final burst of color around here.

Re: Northeastern Connecticut 10-14-19

The Fall foliage color in my part of Connecticut is gone after the storm. Areas that where colorful on Wednesday are now rust colored. I might chase the foliage down to the shoreline at the end of October, but I'm probably done.

Mohawk Trail 10-16-19 Peak Foliage

I traveled up to the Mohawk Trail today and found peak foliage with some beautiful orange and yellow foliage. This is the best I've seen this year. Despite the grey skies, the pictures show how good the color is.

Northeastern Connecticut 10-14-19 - 10-20 -19

I traveled around the Northeastern corner of Connecticut, through Somers, Stafford Springs, Union, Tolland and Ellington. the foliage is somewhat past peak in the higher elevations close to the MA/CT line with some spots having about 25-50% leaf drop. The best Fall color is along Route 190 between S...

Re: Where to go to see peak foliage the weekend of 10/12

I didn't go to Mt Greylock, there is peak foliage in N. Connecticut right now, so not much of a need to go traveling for good color.
