Re: Your favorite cannot miss place to eat

Hello ctyanky,

I haven't tried cilantro before, thanks for the recommendation. I pass through manchester when I go to the Vermont country store in weston, so I'll have to check it out.

Re: Your favorite cannot miss place to eat

Here are a some of my favorites Trattoria la fiesta - delicious italian food in Stowe American Flatbread - wood fired pizza in Waitsfield. Love watching them throw the pies in a wood fired oven. Mad taco - wouldn't have thought I could get great mexican food in vermont, but this place is great. I've...

Re: Upstate NY to Franconia NH with stop in vt

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful tips. The link did work Carol, I agree getting off the highway makes for a better trip. I've never been to the nek before, I'm excited to check it out.

Tim, I will be sure to check out your photography at the festival and those back roads you mentioned.

Re: Upstate NY to Franconia NH with stop in vt

Thank You for the great info. Are there are any photo ops on route 2? As we get close to east burke, is it worth getting off 114 and taking darling hill rd? I've read that is a scenic back road.

We are taking our fall trip this year to Franconia NH on Saturday Sept 29. Planning to stop at east burke vt foliage festival on the way to Franconia. Looking for any suggestions on a scenic route from albany NY to east burke vt and then east burke to franconia. We usually enter vt on route 7 in the...

Hi ct Yanky, Just wanted to let you know how my trip went. I was coming from albany ny, so I took route 7a then route 7 from bennington all the way up to rutland. Re: Vermont Day Trip

Thank you for the replies and info. I love the waitsfield area but it's too far for a day trip. Trying to decide between woodstock and the manchester/arlington areas. Would woodstock be the better option for my day? Cloudland rd and jenne farm are two places I've heard about for photo ops. Any other...

Re: Weston vt

We had a great trip to weston. I wasn't able to make it dorset unfortunately, we were on our way home and my wife was too tired to stop. Weston was beautiful and so was manchester. The best color I saw was around manchester but nothing like some of the eye popping color I've seen from others on here.

Re: Weston vt

Thank you for the suggestions, I will definitely check them out. It looks like we will be going Sunday now, weather on Saturday isn't looking too good. I'm thinking 100 to 103 and down 7 will be a great drive and 7 goes all the way home to albany. The mt equinox drive sounds amazing, I wish we had m...
