Re: Southern Vermont, Sunday 10-4-2020 There's ALOT more great color forthcoming!

Thank you for the update! I will be arrive EARLY on Wednesday and shooting through Friday so, you have my (ever rare) optimism peaked! My drone has spare batteries ready to go and I am testing out an Arsenal device on my camera so, I am excited for a trip both familiar and new! Thank you and everyon...

Re: Central/Southern Vermont 10-1-20

Crap.

Thanks for the update!

But, also, crap.

Looks like I will be focusing on smaller shots next week and no grand vistas.

Re: Cloudland - Woodstock area Sept 23

CT, hello! I am/was planning on finally coming back but, some of the reports have me a seconding guessing a bit (a lot). If everything north of Kelly Stand Road is looking doubtful, I am rethinking my plans. It looks like I might be a week too late. How Vermont is changing seasons faster than is Nor...

Re: Southern Vermont 9-27-20

Thank you for the update.

If Kelly Stand Road is (and I assume anything north of there) is going to be done then, I think I will be reassessing 2020 plans and looking at 2021 for a Vermont return.

The vagaries of the Foliage Gods...

Re: Cloudland - Woodstock area Sept 23

As of now (second-guessing due to accelerating leaf changes ahead of my timetable), I am planning on hitting Vermont with new gear (moved to Nikon, after years with Sony) including a drone. Being a new drone pilot for Vermont, any insights on good photo/video sites, in addition to Cloudland (which w...

Re: Southern Vermont 9-27-20

Crud... I am not able to make it up until next week so, not feeling overly optimistic right now about foliage conditions. I am focused on the Manchester/Stratton/Bennington triangle (not the scary "Bennington Triangle" of Joe Citro, just a geographic area  ), especially Kelly Stand Road. Sound...

Re: Amazing Hike to a Fire Tower - Molly Stark State Park - Gorgeous Day In VT with ixl (Charles) from the forum!

Sounds like a great time!

How was the visibility at the top of the tower?

I ask because I have seen some photos that seem to show a plexiglass with poor visibility.

That (and my massive fear of heights) have held me back from the hike in the past.

Thank you!

Gorgeous shots.

Kind of minimalist with your budget cuts on actors but, still great!

Re: Kelly Stand Road

I too am sorry that you had that experience. One thing to keep in mind is that people tend to react to the next person based on their interaction with the last person. While I am sure you are respectful and careful but, if even 1% of the thousands and thousands of visitors to Vermont are not, the lo...

Re: October 3rd color - Killington/Ludlow/Plymouth area

Great shots and thank you for sharing!

How close would you say Killington was to peak? I wasn't sure if the images were a matter of you seeking out pockets of color or indicative of the entire landscape.

Progress is faster than I was expecting.

Thanks again!

Re: Foliage Update

As I am not arriving until Monday, it sounds like I can cross off any of my northern locations other than Mount Philo (do you think being on Champlain will keep that a possibility?). I deeply appreciate the updates. I started with 26 shooting locations/drives and still have 23 so, I am hoping I will...

Re: Lincoln 9/29/16

Thank you! This gives me some hope for SoVT for the 9th. If the colors do accelerate, would those of you who are up there early mind gluing (tape is fine too but, please use the clear kind you use for wrapping presents) the leaves back on for those of us who come late. If it makes it easier, just do...

Re: HAPPY AUTUMN 2016 TO OUR SOV FOLIAGE FRIENDS!

It is 87 degrees in Ohio. Very hard to get into the mood for fall when my AC is still running 24-7.

Then again, this may not be the end of summer but it is the beginning of the end.
