Re: Foliage color in the NEK

Thanks for your post. Yes, the color seems to be coming on fast and I agree its probably because of the drought we've had. I was in Island Pond this afternoon and went to check my usual spots for color. This one shows how the color is heading towards peak!!

September 18th, 2020 State Foliage Report

Frost has paid an early visit to pockets of the state as this week graces Vermont with cool, crisp nights and warm, sunny days—conditions that contribute to our most vibrant foliage. And while the best of fall color is yet to come, signs of the season abound. Forests in many parts of the state are t...

This could be because of far less rainfall this summer and spring. Many of the streams and brooks are showing very low water leve...

Re: Identify this fall location please

Thanks, it's about one and a half hours from the border. I assume from where the sun is that it was taken around midday...any comment on that and how long does it take to hike there. Do you have directions?

Identify this fall location please

Hi everyone:
I recently came across this image in a Lightroom tutorial and cannot identify its location. It might be Canon mountain in NH, but I am really not sure. Can anyone help?

Re: Movies on Video-Vermont

Thanks for you comments. I didn't do any videos last season. I didn't really have time, but should have time this year. You can find a collection of past videos here:

OFF TOPIC The COVID-19 virus hits the Vermont ski industry

In case you are wondering, there may or may not be a ski season as you know it. At the very least it will be very different. Ski areas are facing three problems: Finding skiers who don't need to quarantine because they live in a area of the northeastern US that has a low infection rate. The problem ...
