Re: Vermont's confusing lodging restrictions

Neither the innkeeper or anyone else can say what the situation might be several months from now. As of now, things are looking in good in VT but not in other areas of the country, so the the situation could change. Vermont inn keepers are having a really tough time and the state is trying to balanc...

Re: Thoughts on the Corona virus - its possible impact on planning your 2020 summer/fall Vermont vacations

Yes, alas Vermont is completely shut down, no visitors, no tourists, probably for the next couple of months. For the best coverage of the daily announcements with in depth reporting, I recommend VT Digger, a non profit news organization out of Montpelier. https://vtdigger.org/?utm_source=VTDigger+Su...

Thoughts on the Corona virus - its possible impact on planning your 2020 summer/fall Vermont vacations

Rural living in northeastern Vermont hasn't changed much despite a world in panic. A recent look at the state's virus outbreak map, doesn't show any cases in the Northeast Kingdom, where I live. But it is coming as it coming to every part of the country. Still, social distancing is a bit easier to p...

Re: Vermont Maple Open House Weekend 2020 Cancelled!!!!!

No one knows what will happen this fall, or how long this pandemic will go on, but the season will go ahead with or without visitors. At the moment the Canada/US border is closed for casual visitors and doubtless the restrictions will get tighter unless the panademic is controlled. It is hard to see...

Before making the switch, I urge you to consider what happens when you sign up to a social media site, like Facebook or Snap Chat or whatever. 1. You are giving away some de...

360 Degree Panorama of Lake Willoughby

Lots of cloudy days or days when the sun kept hiding behind the clouds, creating huge dark shadows on the foliage at Lake Willoughby. Finally after several attempts at being there at the right time, I got this arial panorama of the lake at peak, from its southern end. To view this image in all its s...
