This series of 360 images was taken in some woods in Morgan, in northern vt. You can see some color but the trees are still mostly green.

Re: It's 2018 and time to kickstart your Vermont fall foliage plans!

It is not the heat that can cause a problem but rather a lot of rain. There has not been much rain, so the colors should be good. Exactly when they will peak, no one ever knows, but I can tell you that some of the leaves have already started turning in northeastern VT. You drive along a road and all...

Possible foliage sites

This season I will be photographing 360 images of possible foliage sites. These may be places to have a picnic, go on a bike ride or anything that is connected with the foliage season. I have been tinkering around with a Go Pro Fusion camera. In my view, this is the best of the 360 cameras under $1,...

Re: NEK and Moose Alley NH

Our lodge was in Grafton last year, really nice place! All green in mid-October though last year, let's see this year :) Thanks again! The place outside Brattleboro that ctyanky is referring too is called Green River. Depending when you are there, the foliage color can be fantastic. And yes there a...

Re: NEK and Moose Alley NH

I would not wait until October to visit the NEK. Mid to late September should be far better. Why not start in the north and then drop down as you need.

Re: It's 2018 and time to kickstart your Vermont fall foliage plans!

Welcome Falme to our site: The date spread on your trip should guarantee some nice color. If I were you, I would start your trip by heading north to the Quebec border and the northeast corner of the state, known as the Northeast Kingdom. You can get there very quickly from Boston by taking I-93 and ...

State Foliage Repor for October 20th, 2017

OCTOBER 20, 2017 Many pockets of trees in Vermont are still showing peak foliage conditions, displaying full-bodied orange and yellow hues, and bright reds that are especially spotlighted by early-morning and late-afternoon autumn sunlight. All stages of fall color are currently present across Vermo...

State Foliage Report for October 5th, 2017

OCTOBER 5, 2017 The foliage progression continues to remain with near-peak to full color change throughout northeastern Vermont and along the spine of the Green Mountains from north to south. Beautiful colors are also emerging in the higher elevations of southern and central Vermont, as well as blos...

State Foliage Repor for September 28th

The 2017 Vermont fall foliage season continues to develop ever so gradually, with pockets of gorgeous color to be seen in all regions of the state - especially in the Northeast Kingdom - but also with an abundance of still-green leaves remaining in most areas, said Vermont Department of Forests, Par...

State Foliage Report for September 20th

SEPTEMBER 20, 2017 As gorgeous late summer weather continues to bring warmth, bright sunshine, and scattered showers, fall foliage colors are developing nicely, albeit gradually, throughout most of Vermont. The Northeast Kingdom is fast approaching peak color however, and is expected to be at 50–75 ...

360 Degree Aerial Panoramas of Foliage Scenes

I have just completed my first aerial 360 degree foliage panorama of Lake Willoughby, south beach, taken on the morning of September 17th. I hope to do some more, but they take a while to put together. This link will work with an iPhone or other mobile devices but for the best viewing experience you...
