Re: Summer scenics?

Carol, These are STUNNING!!! No, haven't been to VT yet, and probably won't. My truck is still undergoing major repairs, and without it, we can't bring along the dog. At this point, with a PA trip planned soon, and school starting in late August, I don't see it happening. I just LOVE that first shot...

Re: 2010 Foliage (a bit late, eh?!) - LOTS of images - Day 1

Andy, I did the "sync camera clock with GPS clock" and then have the computer plug the data into my EXIF on my Galapagos trip, and it worked well. HOwever, something is completely amiss, and I can't make it work for this trip. I know a lot of people use the di-GPS units (is that the brand you had?) ...

2010 Foliage (a bit late, eh?!) - LOTS of images - Day 1

Finally getting my 2010 shots up on the web. Less than 3mos til the 2011 season.....perhaps an appetizer? Landscape photography is an area where I definitely don't feel comfortable. I apologize in advance for the non-creative composition, etc. I'm best at people/animal candid shots and captur...

With kids in school, and my dau on the gymnastics Team, earlier is not possible. :( Hubby and I are planning to run the Harpoon Brewery 3mi race (race entry = tshirt, a brat, beer mug, 2 fills!), can't wait for it! :D We've got a Half Marathon in Newport RI the foll...

Summer scenics?

Any suggestions from the locals on summer scenics? Fields of wild flowers? Good barns? Good overall scenes? :D :D

Re: Anyone thinking about their 2011 Vermont Fall Foliage tr

We're going to do the Harpoon brewery run on Columbus day weekend and will be based out of my SIL's home in Okemo. Can't wait to get out and shoot, as I picked up an older Rolleiflex (my hubby's grandfather's camera). :D  :D

Yeah but.................my processor is only a Pentium D (4yrs old). :? It'll handle 64bit, but not proficiently I'm sure. This is a stop-gap measure, I'd hoped to upgrade the whole computer in a year (to a lovely 6 core processor and LOTS of RAM!). :D

@Utah: I would LOVE to head west some day.....for now, small children and school schedules dictate otherwise. It's on my "in the future" list though! :) @Andy: Wonderful, thank you!!! PS. I'm still working through my Vermont photos. Came home to a computer who didn't want to play nice and ended up s...

Yep, that's it! :) If you are good about key wording the photos, you can then also make collections really quickly. Each year I shoot 8-10,000 photos. When I import, I put a quick note in the key wording as to what something is.....or if the kids/dogs are in it, I stick their names in it. I can now ...

I found that in the past few years, LR goes on significant sale at Amazon around Thanksgiving. If you can hold off 3 or so more weeks, keep an eye on them. I was able to get my full copy of LR2 for $160 (regularly $300). It's usually a one-day sale, so start the habit now of checking for it. :)
